The Summit Jaguar Marching Band competed against more than 20 other bands Saturday in the Wylie Marching Invitational. In preliminary competition, Summit received Outstanding Music and Outstanding Guard caption awards and placed 3rd in class and 5th overall. In the finals competition, Summit Band's guard again took first place and the band moved up two spots to take third in overall competition placing behind Lake Ridge and North Mesquite High Schools - which were 1st and 2nd respectively.
